Pre-Ballet & Beginning Ballet – Designed for our youngest dance students who are 3 and 4 years old and are new to dance or just beginning their first lessons in dance.  Listening skills, motor skills, directions, special awareness and basic dance steps and terminology are introduced and interspersed with creative movement to create the perfectly balanced beginning dance class that any young dance student will enjoy.

Ballet I - The beginning ballet student will move on to learn more advanced ballet steps and continue learning new terminology.  Beginning ballet students will be introduced to the barre, how to properly stand when at the barre and the concept of placement.  In the center we will begin putting basic movements in combination and learning how to count music while dancing.

Ballet II - While continuing to stress the importance of proper ballet placement and technique, Ballet II begins to learn all the exercises that are conducted at the barre.  Work in the centre and across the floor is now combined to form short dances or combinations of more advanced steps.

Ballet III – Ballet III is a more advanced version of Ballet II.   In Ballet III, students will focus on longer and more advanced combinations at the barre including an introduction on how to pirouette (or turn).  Center work focuses on learning combinations that incorporate positions of the body, turning and jumping.  A long variation or dance is taught to all Ballet III students so they can be challenged in putting movement and music together as well as building stamina and stage presence.

Ballet IV – Ballet IV is a for the most advanced and serious dance students. A typical class involves a challenging, full length advanced barre, as well as center and across the floor combinations that focus on improving dance technique.  These classes are usually taken en pointe.  Ballet IV students are given many performance opportunities to showcase their technical abilities through advanced variations, solos and groups pieces.

Beginning & Intermediate Tap - Rhythm, balance, and coordination will all be developed in these tap classes for new or returning tap students who have “a passion for tap”.  The focus in all level tap classes is correct execution and clarity of tone.  Basic tap fundamentals will be reviewed and we will move on to learn more advanced tap steps in these dynamic tap classes.

Junior Jazz - Junior only in name, this class is for the young jazz dancer who loves to move.  Warm-up, turns, leaps, progressions across the floor and combinations will all be included in this energetic jazz class. A great class for any jazz student seeking to further strengthen and improve their jazz dance skills.

Hip Hop – Perfect for the beginner student who is just learning to dance.  This class focuses on learning hip-hop basics that will be consolidated into short combinations.  We will also learn how to count music with each movement and apply style to the movement we perform.  Come learn how to Clown Walk, Pop, Lock and More!
